Generation 3 - Chapter 13
"So honey, did I ever tell you about the first time daddy and I did woohoo?" "Sorry mommy, I have to go to school. Maybe you can tell me years and years in the future? Or maybe never?" This being Brady's day off, it was his turn to teach Napua something.
"C'mon, baby. Let's see that smart milk work and bring home the good grades!"
Just as quickly as she learned how to talk, Napua learned to walk. Thank goodness for that smart milk!
Aww, isn't that a sweet picture of my Brady and his little girl?
Ok, so I'm looking at my watch, the mailman is here...is he late? What is Lucy doing home at a time like this? Turns out she got a really good chance card, I think she chose to go for the putt instead of letting her boss win. Who knows, I get so many of the darn things. But, she got promoted to Vice President, hence the little money doodad.
"Sweetie, what are you doing home in the middle of the day? Shouldn't you be at work?"
"I love my job. I got promoted playing golf with the boss!" "Oh, my wife, she's a keeper!"
Go ahead, Sophie. Eat the rotten food. I'll just sit here and watch and not let anyone intervene...hehe.
Well, the time has come for Moana to leave the nest as the teen years are long and tedious and what I really want is for Lucy and Brady to have another baby and I do not want to have 8 sims in a house. "Bye, Moana. I'll be the only one to say bye to you on your way to dorm life, so enjoy it."
And so goes Moana off to college. Maybe we'll visit her at college some time to see how she turns out. Or she may just be like one of my friends and be a professional college student.
"Daddy! Daddy! I got an A+! Aren't you so excited for me?" "Zzzzz...mmph, that's great honey..." I hate that stupid A+ dance...grumble grumble.
Even though I hate that everyone brings all the townies home from school and work, I think the kids playing together is too cute to ignore.
Now that Moana is gone, someone has to take care of the plant thing. So I elected Brady, or whoever may be around it when I remember. Brady hasn't complained yet, so he may just be the newly elected tenderer, we'll see.
This would be the second attempt at the painting for all eternity. Just like the first one, it came out too far away and they looked too small. But it's still a cute picture.
I couldn't resist slipping this in. Isn't it cute when the adults put the kids to bed and give them a kiss?
So Napua is going down for the count and that would be one less sim to keep track of.
And here comes Marisa...again...two nights in a row.
Enough with the bed. What do you want me to do? Make a sign telling you the bed stays forever?
"Hey, I remember you! Don't mess with my daughter!" Earlier Brady and Lucy had an important discussion.
"I want someone to play baseball with."
"Honey, Remington told me he likes to ski..." "No, I want to have another baby and try for that boy."
"We're going to have to put up with that A+ dance on a constant daily basis, aren't we?"
And it's go for baby number 2 and hopefully the heir. Lucy reluctantly agreed and they successfully concieved on the first attempt.
And this would be the third and last attempt at their painting for all eternity. This time it worked so we no longer need to worry about this painting. This angle looks like someone might be watching them...who could it be?
It was just Marisa, no need to worry. And I will leave this chapter with Marisa floating around the grounds and Lucy and Brady snuggling as the second baby is on it's way.

Well, today is little Napua's birthday as she poofs into toddlerhood. Since she is the first child for Brady and Lucy, I'm a little worried about what she may look like.
Brady is here to celebrate the birthday and it looks like he is the only one.
"I'm one crazy and wild guy!" I picture Steve Martin right there next to him...hehe.
Ok, so it's at least seven o'clock, the candles are blown out...so...when is Napua going to poof?
Maybe a second cake would help. "You expect me to eat two cakes? Bleh!" Sorry Brady.
"She doesn't know what she's doing. I bet I could do it better, I've had two kids." Leilani was no help at all, so off she went.
"Maybe if I put her on the floor..."
"Help me, my mommy doesn't know what she's doing!" Pick the baby up, Lucy and try it again.
"It's about time. I want some cake! Then I'm off to get an aspiration boost and go clothes shopping!" And what will Napua look like? We're about to find out. So brown hair plus red hair equals
what? Blonde hair? Ok, so Napua is a cute little toddler with blonde hair, brown eyes like her mother and her father's nose...just what I was afraid of. Oh yeah, and her mother's gaping void of a mouth. After Napua's birthday, Remington went downtown to buy the family some clothes.
Who are you looking at, Rem? Hey, that's Brady in the shop with you! I thought you left him at home!
I see, now we know why Brady didn't tell anyone he was coming here. Looks like he has a thing for pretty dresses and doesn't want anyone to know.
We'll just let Brady do his own thing and not bother him and let Remington go shopping for some much needed clothes.
"Hey, don't mind the man in the dressing room. He's just trying on some clothes. But, hey - do you think maybe if I have a nephew he can stop by and butter you up a little?" It couldn't hurt, everyone needs a first kiss, right? While Remington (ahem, and Brady) were off trying on and buying clothes, Lucy took to potty training Napua.
And easy as that, Napua is potty trained. Why do I always do the easy stuff first?
Oh, the joys of toddlerhood.
Moana gets home from her after school job and heads over to her fate. If she had just left well enough alone, I might have chosen someone else to tend to the plants.
And hey, we finally figured out how to use smart milk! I was wondering why they would never give the toddler the milk while they were sitting in the high chair.
And thanks to the wonder that is smart milk, Napua is talking in no time! This kid is going to be a genius, I know it.
Why, Katerina, you're a maid. You've smelled all kinds of bad stuff, what could possibly have you acting like this?
Oh, I see. Lucy is cooking and burnt the hamburgers. Her cooking skills are almost maxed out and she can't cook hamburgers. These sims really mistify me sometimes.
"Maya, how is your quest in getting best friends?"
"Not good, Aunt Lucy. I've been too busy reading Harry Potter and the ending traumatized me! I can't believe who died!"
"What about you Moana? Since you're going to college soon, will you be getting engaged, too?" "No, I'm thinking about coming back home after college."
What bothers you more Lucy, the burnt food or your niece's answer?
"Should I tell her I think her hamburgers are gross?"
"Nyah Nyah, I have more best friends than you!" Ah, sisterly love. They're usually really nice to each other all huggy and stuff, but Moana did this all on her own and I have yet to figure out why.
Then they ganged up on Katerina and watched her work. "Our mom and uncle used to do what you're doing right now. Maybe you'll get lucky and Aunt Lucy will have a baby boy and you can marry into our family just like the two previous maids!" I'm sure Katerina can't wait.
"Hey sweetie, you know how much I love you right?" "Yes, my love. I love you, too!"
"I love you so much I want to show you and embarrass my family at the same time!"
"Sweetie, turn around and you can see how much we embarrassed Leilani and Remington! We got 'em both in that one grab!" And of course Leilani and Remington could not be outdone and left out in the loving embarrassment activities.
"I wonder what we could do to embarrass Moana..." "Oh, honey, I know what I could do!"
I love the look on Leilani's face as she did that! And we all know what Moana's reaction was.
And they got Brady and Lucy too!
After such loving public displays of affection, what could possibly come next?
And although they were having so much fun embarrassing each other, all fun must come to an end. Lucy and Brady have yet to have their picture painted for the mausoleum, so they asked Remington to do the honors.
This was one of the three attempts at getting painted, so this will not be the picture depicting them for the rest of eternity...or until I have to move due to a buggy lot (crossing fingers that never happens). But they looked so cute, I thought I would take another picture.
Not to be outdone once again, here are Leilani and Remington displaying their love for one another.
Ok, maybe they're just skill building, but Leilani is always up for a skill point. =)
Thanks to Brady, who got a job in the slacker career, here is the third career object in my quest for points.
And since Moana made it a point to go over and clearly express her disgust with this new object...
...she is now the designated plant tenderer. I know, I'm a horrible person...hehe. And to end this chapter, let's take a look at what our founder and his beloved are up to.
Does the floating urn really mean anything? I have a theory...does it mean the ghost will haunt more? We'll find out in upcoming chapters.
