Generation 3 - Chapter 34

"Whooo! I got an A+! Yay! Go Me! Yay!...." So, it looks as if Clay has gotten a good grade in school and excited and can’t hide his enthusiasm as he gets off the bus. He does this every day, nothing new, same ole, same ole. Only, today nobody is home, so he’s cheering for his sad self. If nobody is home, they should just not cheer. It’s too sad and pathetic, but I enjoyed taking a picture of it and saving it for posterity. Now I have something to show his great-great-great-etc grandchildren to tell them what a dork he was and how they used to do that in the olden days. Looks as if the maid is ignoring this part of the house. Look how dirty that bathroom is! Is it coincidence that that’s Clay’s bathroom? Is it also coincidence that the maid is the sweet little Katerina who Clay was originally betrothed to in his younger days? Hmm, something to ponder there. You know what I’m not going to ponder? Firing her. I’m firing her the first chance I get. And Ashley’s still making friends with his future in-laws. So Brady may have been spying, but Ashley should really just be used to it by now since they’ve been doing it for years. Maybe he’s afraid they will discover his secret for longevity and never growing old. Hey, it looks as if it’s that time again. It’s time to annoy the kids as the elders flirt in front of them! See how they ring up those negative marks in synchronization.
It’s just too fun to make these guys mad. I just wish they wouldn’t cancel everything in their queue’s to throw these fits. Although Brady had his portrait painted when he was younger, he is also having his elder portrait painted. I haven’t decided which photo to place above his urn yet and what I’ll do with the other one, but it’s nice to have a choice. I might go with the elder painting since all the other paintings follow the elder trend. These two do everything together! It’s synchronized "My environment is too low!" Lucy manages to max out her creativity...in her underwear. Ahem, we know what she’s been up to. *wink wink* This had me biting my nails. Clay spun up the want to be saved from death. I hadn’t attempted this yet, but I wanted to keep him happy, so I obliged. I made sure Maya was home from work because, even though Brady and Lucy were home, well his relationship with Lucy was -80 or something due to all the public displays of affection between Brady and Lucy, so I didn’t think he would jump at the chance to let her save him. His needs were a tiny bit low and his mechanical skill was about mid way. Wouldn’t you know, when you want someone electrocuted, it just doesn’t happen. And great! The stereo works now. Wonderful. Maya has decided to try to work her magic on Dorian. Remember Dorian? He’s the one who yelled at her for calling in a fake emergency. She didn’t want to try to lure him in wearing that awful outfit she transitioned into, so she dug deep into her closet and found this pretty dress, which surprisingly suit her personality pretty well. "So wait, you’re telling me your family has loads of money? And I could be eligible to get in on the action?" "And all I would have to do is move in?" What are you telling him, Maya? "So tell me again how much money your family has? I just want to be sure." Dude, you’re in the love tub. Money should be the last thing on your mind. Look, who’s making her first plate appearance. Sorry, effect of the Angels game I’m watching. =) Leilani has chosen tonight to come out haunting for the first time. And it just so happens that Maya has the want to see Leilani’s ghost so she’s off chasing Leilani around holding Mr. Bear in hopes of making a ghostly connection. All of her chasing really tired Maya out. Almost to the point of passing out, so she decided to take a break and try again later. Luckily, Leilani chose to be nice and waited until Maya was rested before deciding to make the connected with her daughter. She may seem scared by all this, but she really did want this. I think she’s just putting on a show for Dorian to come to her aid. He never did come though. The next morning at breakfast, Clay asked Maya how it was going with Dorian. "So is it safe to assume there will be a wedding in the future? Did you lock him in?" Ha ha, get it? Safe, lock...anwyay. "Did you tell him about our bags of money?" "Did you tell him you’re well educated?" I’ll end this chapter with Brady’s nagging. Did Maya lock it in with Dorian? Will they end up getting married? Will the family ever fire that no good maid?

Generation 3 - Chapter 33

You know, it’s a good thing these two showed up after Leilani’s death to be there for Clay and Maya (who had been sleeping when Leilani died due to her night job). I was going to have to find a way to punish them if they hadn’t done anything. Lucy and Brady may have been consoling themselves in their own way, but Clay was just having nothing to do with it. He absolutely hates it when his parents become at all personal. While Clay seethed with hatred, Maya had just woken up and was given the news of her mother’s passing. That’s ok, Maya, you may be an adult, but you can still cry and mourn in your own way. To cheer herself up, Maya decided to study to gain a skill while Clay decided to sit down and write out his feelings. Poor guy has been dealing with a lot of death in his young life. For heaven’s sake, Clay, Maya is not going to try to read what you are writing. She’s busy learning to notice. Some people have some strange coping mechanisms. Clay eventually gave up on the idea of writing in his diary, so he picked a seat on the sofa next to Maya and went to work on skill building in hopes he would eventually max all his skills and therefore earn his lifetime want. Brady tried to put up a tough front in front of the kids, but when he was out of sight and on his own in the entertainment room, he relaxed and let out his grief. He missed his sister more than he realized and decided he will enjoy the time he has left with Lucy. Lucy felt the same way and decided it was a good time to show her love for her husband. Another bonus, Clay was in the other room and would never know what was going on. All that lovin’ was too much for Brady and it tired him out. If he wasn’t in bed, you could usually find him napping in his favorite chair. And here we go. It’s time to pick your favorite. They are both studying the same skill and both have the want to get to the next level. Clay was fed the smart milk when he was a toddler and Maya was not. Who will get the skill point first? If you said, Maya, then you are correct. Now back to regularly scheduled programming. Hey, look who showed up in the actual Sim world, not to be confused with SAR (Sim Alternate Reality). Brady had made it to bed to go to sleep, woke up to go to the bathroom, and was scared so badly, he had to jump in the shower. Thanks Remington!
But, hey, since Brady was up and so was Lucy, they both had wants to flirt with each other, kiss, make out, dance, talk, etc. You get the idea, right? Clay must have sensed something was going on because he came into the bathroom to share his displeasure with his parents. Lucy and Brady laughed and wanted to see how much he could handle. What kid likes to see their parents making out? After their kiss, Lucy and Brady chuckled, and noticed they each had that gleam in the other’s eye. They walked past Clay and went straight for the bedroom. With all that flirting and kissing going on, what comes next but this want? This is all these two do anymore! You know, if I didn’t know any better, Lucy is a family sim instead of a popularity sim. She is spinning up more wants that have to do with Brady than anything else. I guess it’s true what they say, some people are just made for each other.

Generation 3 - Chapter 32

This chapter may seem to jump around a little bit because while I was playing (and not saving), the game crashed and I lost about 2 sims days of play and had to replay my lost time. So remember when you are playing - Just Save It. =) So we’ll just pretend that the Sims are experiencing an alternate reality (picture that sci-fi show, Sliders, only nicer). Not long after Remington passed away, he decided to come out of the mausoleum and explore the other realm known as the Sim Alternate Reality (SAR). I was hoping he would haunt in the clothes he died in, but just my luck, he haunted in his every day outfit. While everyone else was sleeping, Brady was up painting trying to help fulfill his elderly sister’s dying wish to make $50,000. Unfortunately, SAR is not too different than the actual Sim world. Brady gets his pants scared off of him when Remington popped out of the painting and did a little Boo action. Luckily, this all happened in the land of SAR, and didn’t actually happen, or so I’d like to think. Back in the real world, Clay was starting a fire cooking toaster pastries. C’mon, Clay, they’re just pastries. How difficult is it to cook that? In Clay’s terror driven state, he noticed a fire fighter came to save the stove and the day. Funny, he thought, I never even had to call the fire department. Their response time is off the charts! Once the fire was out, Clay got a better look at the person who had come to his rescue. Her name was Maura Simpson and one look at her and he could see his future children in her beautiful eyes. "Hey, do you like money? My family has loads of it. How would you like to marry me some day. I’m already promised to the maid, but I don’t think she’d mind at all." "How about I give you some now, a dowry if you will, but for right now we’ll consider it a tip for your life saving services." Maura told him she thought he was a funny kid, but promised to keep in touch. Back in SAR, it was Marisa’s turn to come out of her urn. Will she follow Remington’s lead and scare the pants off someone in her family, or will she just play around with some of the objects in the house? Turns out she just wanted to take a bath, no harm done in SAR. Leaving SAR and coming back in the Sim world, Lucy was trying to hide her feelings and convince herself that she belonged to only Brady by dropping to her knees and declaring her love for him in song. So far keeping Lucy and Leilani apart seems to be working. The only thing they really want to do is talk. Brady’s heart is spared breakage for the time being. This woman loves to show her man how much she loves him. Clay doesn’t like it as much. You can see him in the background having a fit. He really doesn’t like it. He should know that that’s the whole reason I do it to see him throw a fit! Ok, this is odd. Remember I sent Napua to college a couple chapters back? She came home from school with Clay one day. And what is the first thing you do when you come home with your brother? You watch him go to the bathroom...obviously. Later that day, both Clay and Leilani were low on their social meters and struck up a conversation after a game of pool. "Haha, I taught you never to play pool against me again!" laughed Leilani. Leilani discovered that playing with Clay wore her out so she decided that, because of her advanced age, she would go take a nap before dinner. While she was sleeping, Clay had just finished the portrait he was painting of his aunt and went to go wake her up to show her. Leilani loved the detail he put into the painting to capture her essence and told Clay how proud she was of the way he grew up . Unfortunately, this would be the last thing she would say to her nephew. She knows it’s coming, but yet she is in a content state because she knows she is about to join her darling Remington. She’s also going to go in a platinum state because of what she did last night. She reached her want of making $50,000 by selling a higher value painting that her family had been busy working on the past couple of days to help her go out in platinum. As Clay was stepping away from Leilani, he suddenly became aware of what was happening. He was there for Remington’s death and something seemed suddenly familiar about the atmosphere around him. Clay started to cry, but noticed his Aunt Leilani wasn’t sad and wasn’t crying at all. He realized it was probably because she knew she would be reunited with her true love and she was calmed by that. He also noticed he was the only member of his family by Leilani’s side and wondered where his mom and dad were. If you look way in the background back in the entertainment room, Lucy and Brady are just now leaving the room to come to the commotion. Turns out they were playing chess and couldn’t tear themselves away. So much for Lucy loving Leilani, huh? Leilani remained emotionless throughout Grim’s entire visit, except for when he offered her a drink. Her face lit up with a smile, she happily took the drink, grabbed her suitcase and departed, leaving a platinum urn behind. I don’t know what Lucy and Brady are doing, but they still have not come into the room. Only Clay remains after Leilani’s departure and mourns his aunt’s passing all by his lonesome surrounded by Grim’s hula girls. How fitting to have her urn underneath the portrait Clay had painted of her and the painting she had been working on, but will never be able to finish. And with that, the family placed her urn in it’s final resting place next to her beloved late husband located in the family mausoleum
