Generation 3 - Chapter 10
Last we left off Lucy and Brady welcomed their first child, a girl named Napua, into the world. Now we all know the most powerful women in the world conduct meetings in their pajamas at the breakfast table. The Cavanaugh household is no different. "Now sweetie, if you want to ever run a major corporation, you have to eat your omlettes!" "Can't I just get men to buy me pretty things, like necklaces?" "That's not respectable. You need to work your way up in the world like Simdoleeza Rice. No gifts." "Well, that's how they do it on tv. I was just saying..." "You do realize what you see on movies and tv is not real, right?" "But what about Julia Simberts? She worked her way up by sleeping with Richard Sim!" "That was a movie, it wasn't real." "But she just won an Oscar a couple years ago! Don't tell me that she did all that by herself." That's good, Lucy. It's always best to let her think she's right and just ignore the situation. "Hey Marsha, I just found out that the movie we saw the other day wasn't real! I have to go to school to get a good job." "Yeah, I don't want to end up driving a school bus like your dad does." (hehe) So Moana told Leilani her plans for going to school and getting a good job later and Leilani gave her daughter a big hug greatful Moana made such a mature decision. While the women were discussing important wordly matters, Remington was busy as well. He sold his first masterpiece! It looked like a bunch of lines and squiggles to me, but I don't have the artistic eye, but who am I to judge? Later that night, it was Maya's turn in the spotlight. Here she is at six o'clock taking a nap. Should we let her sleep and do it later? I sat there watching her sleep anxious to see how this would work if the birthday girl was asleep and she was supposed to be transitioning. She eventually woke up and we held the birthday a few hours late. Remington did the honors as he helped Maya with her toddlerfication (credit to SmokerKat on the BBS as it seems to be a popular word) and helped her blow out her candles. And here she goes. I seem to get that picture a lot, don't I? And Maya as a pretty child. Who is that in the distance out the middle window? Could that be Marisa making an appearance? Yep, here she is headed to where else, but her bed? If she scared the pee out the headmaster on his visit, I'm afraid to know what she would do if I ever got rid of her bed, so no worries, the bed stays. She doesn't seem to mind that the new residents of her and Tony's bed are her son and his wife. Luckily, she only came to check out the bed and went back to roaming the lot. "Look at the nerd making his dinner. Should I tell him I sold a masterpiece?" "While you were making dinner, I spotted your mother floating around. Did you see her?" "Of course I saw her, I don't have blinders on. " "Her painting will never be as good as mine, I sold a masterpiece." Geez, Remington sells one masterpiece and that is all he can think about! Can we say one-track mind? And that is the outcome. It's hardly something I would call a masterpiece, but again, who am I to judge? And now for some shots of family love. A little Leilani and Remington lovin' in the baby's room. Nothing cuter than a hand holding shot. After Moana got home from work, she went into the room she shared with Maya now that she has grown up and tucked her in as she was sleeping. Awww. And as Brady is coming to bed, he sees Lucy sleeping and thinks about how beautiful she is. Awww.
